Krista & Josiah's Wedding

This past weekend I flew down to Michigan to take pictures for a friend's wedding. I had such an amazing time! Everyone I met in both Krista and Josiah's families where incredible. I was truly blessed by the wedding and everyone there. There were little things that were special about this wedding. From the foot washing ceremony, to the special presentation the groom put together for his bride, to the heartfelt speeches, there was certainly something special about this wedding. Congratulations Krista & Josiah and thank you for letting me be apart of your special day!

Things are Always Different at Night

Last Night a friend of mine and I went for a little photo excursion. The town sure seems different at night, especially in the back alley ways. It was great to get out and take some pictures for fun, and I am hoping to do more of that soon!

Hannah & Jeremy

About a week ago I put out an offer on my college campus to do photoshoots for a discounted rate. This is the first of a few that have been booked. Hannah is one of my best friends and this is a picture of her and her boyfriend Jeremy. :)

Semester in Review Part 4

I didn't get to do it nearly as much as I wanted to, but sometimes it was great to just get my camera out and snap some photos for fun.

Semester in Review Part 3

I had a great time taking photos of Bethany Hockey this semester. I love watching hockey and love the challenge of capturing action shots at just the right time.

Semester in Review Part 2

In October I photographed a wedding for a good friend. It was a beautiful wedding, and I had such a great time taking photos. It was one of the first times photographing a wedding without a backup photographer so it was a little different. Nonetheless, I am very happy with how the photos turned out. Congrats James and Natasha!

Semester in Review Part 1

This Semester I didn't get to take photos everyday but in the next few posts I'll show a bit of what I have been up to in terms of photography. :)
This semester I got to take photos for Bethany Bible College's Postcard/Brochures. There was one for each program offered at the school. I learned a lot through this project, and though it was very time consuming and at times frustrating, I feel like I learned a lot and grew as a photographer from doing it. Above are some of the photos I took for this.

October 14, 2009

Tonight featured an exciting episode of Survivor Kenebecasis on Bethany Campus. My dear sweet roomate was eliminated and I'm betting it is because of the intense threat she posed to the other competitors. Nonetheless, it was an event fulled and action packed night and was great fun as per usual.

This is the view from one of the windows in the chapel. I really like these flowers and sometimes when it is nice and sunny out and we are in a chapel service in the morning, I will glance out and I just feel inspired by this view. It kind of reminds me of the song "Love Song for a Saviour" by Jars of Clay. There is a part of the song that says this...
"In open fields of wild flowers
she breathes the air and flies away
she thanks her Jesus for the daises and the roses
in no simple language
someday she'll understand the meaning of it all"

Today was a busy day of taking pictures. This is one of the daughters of the male RD on campus. She is quite adorable. It is likely that she will be the poster girl for the Children's ministry Program.
